Error Demo-Installation Template

Hi, I get the error message according to the picture when installing the Demo Installer Template "Jasmine". I am absolutely sure with the specifications for MySQL (10.3-MariaDB). Something irritates me the specification MySQLi. Can someone help me?
The Joomla version provided by the provider ran without problems. I am a beginner and would like to work with the template.

Hello

Are you getting any issues if you install a default Joomla installation (https://downloads.joomla.org/cms)? In most cases the server name would remain as localhost.

Hi Ciaran,

ich habe auch das Problem bei der Installation von Joomla mit den Demo-Installer-Dateien vom Template "Ensley".

Auf der zweiten Seite des Installationsprozesses wird ausschließlich eine MYSQL-Datenbank angeboten. Mein Provider hat aber nur Datenbanken vom Typ "MariaDB". Was nun? Gibt es ein alternatives Installationspaket für Ensley?

Ich möchte unbedingt die Beispieldateien von Ensley mit installieren...

Hi Wolfgang

Unfortunately, Joomla does not officially support MariaDB although I have heard it is possible. Are you able to install a standard Joomla 3 installation?

My provider says it should be possible.

Yes, I could do a standard install. But I really want to install the full sample data from Ensley. It doesn't work afterwards, does it?
Is there a solution?

I noted that Joomla 4 appears to have better support for MariaDB so a possible may be to switch to the newer version of Joomla?

Hi Ciaran,

that's a good idea. But, must I pay for the download again (18€ on Cyber Monday for Joomla 3 - and now 24€ for Joomla 4)?

Hello Ciaran,
Thank you for the discount!
In the meantime I have already downloaded your Joomla 4 version (with Ensley demo installer).

But I still got stuck because there are problems uploading some folders/files to the server. It keeps crashing... I'm in contact with vendor support to possibly unpack the package directly on the server drive. But first I have to look up how to do it.

I hope it's worth the effort and that Ensley's sample pages are like your home page.
