To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

(edit to taste)

.layerslideshow .item-align-center .info-wrapper {

    text-align: left;

}

The code just aligns the text to the left. I would like the whole box moved to the left.

Have you tried amending the Text Alignment option in the Image(s) tab of your module settings? This option is available with each image that you add.
