Double tap on imagehover ipad

I like the Joomla51 imagehover module very much, thanks for this wonderfull module.
However on an ipad when i click the image the hover effect shows but in less then a second the new tab opens with the provided link.
The normal behaviour would be click -> hover effect another click -> go to the link
I came across thistfix but i don't know how to implement it in the module or in the custom.css
Can you help me?

Unfortunately I cannot give you admin access because it's a webshop, my client told me "for security reasons".
I hope you can point me in the right direction via this topic.

For now i solved the issue by adding the following to my custom.css:


@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) {

.j51imagehover126 figcaption, .j51imagehover136 figcaption, .j51imagehover137 figcaption  {

    opacity: 1;

    transform: translate(0,0);

    background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5) !important;

}

}

I hope you wil consider to add the function discribed as above to the plugin.

@Cirian, it would be great if there comes a solution for this.
