Hello,
I have installed Chelsea template,
at firs I decided to publish the web site only in Italian.
now, I decided that it is necessary to have also an English version.
so to make the multilingual version I:
(doing experiments with the local host first)
made an English menu
made a copy of my template and selected the english Menu.

made a generic menu as a landing page to choose the language.
I want the landing page to be in Italian and to be able to choose English afterwards…
I activated “system - Language filter” (with language selection for visitors Italian - default language Italian - and remove url language code).

The question is, once i select the “generic menu” as the home page does this change all my urls?
And once you set the “multi language home page menu”, can it be reversible? because from the local host I’m finding difficulty in reversing the process, and I want to make sure that I don’t change all my urls… that would need some big fixing to be done…
I hope I expressed my self properly

Hello

Admittedly this would not be a template related issue so I would not be the best person to ask. I would not be confident enough to say that your URLs will definitely not be affected. To get a definitive answer may I suggest posting your query to the Joomla forums or to https://joomla.stackexchange.com/
