Default Message on Registered page in Oxygen

When you select an Article to be registered, the default message on the page before logging in is rather harsh with the red imposing banner: "You are not authorized to view this resource."

Is there a way to edit it to something more inviting like "Please log-in to view this page."

I know that you can add Pre text in the Module Manager, but the red banner is like a matador red cape in front of a bull!

Try editing the folloiwng in ../language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_content.ini (LINE 21).

You will need FTP access to the root of your Joomla installation to access your langauges folder.

You will find error messages like this stored in Joomlas language files. Try editing the folloiwng in ../language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_content.ini (LINE 21).

COM_CONTENT_ERROR_LOGIN_TO_VIEW_ARTICLE="Please login to view the article"

Editing the text in the warning to say something like: Please login to view this resource.

As in editing the actual warning text or the original CSS styling the warning?

You can edit the default Joomla error warning colors by adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

[code type=css]#system-message > .error > ul {
background-color: #E6C0C0;
border-color: #DE7A7B;
color: #FFFFFF;
}[/code]
.. where #FFFFFF is your text color, #E6C0C0 your background and #DE7A7B your border. Edit these to your own taste.
