Creating a menu item to display most recent articles

The latest news module requires a module location. This requires the assignment of a position for the module.

I would like to be able to add a menu item, titled, "Recent Articles" on the top menu. When selected, the most recent articles would be displayed. The user would them be able to to select one of the articles to read further.

Thoughts or suggestions on how to achieve this would be much appreciated.

Thanks for this - unfortunately, it only allows for the selection of a single category. I would like to have the most recent articles regardless of category. Is there an option that will support this?
