I have created a 16px x 16px favicon, converted it to "favico.ico" and placed it in the root of the templates folder (i.e. /templates/j51_mountainpine/favicon.ico), and cleared cache, but it still doesn't show in any browsers. Any ideas?

P.S. I even tried putting it in the /templates/j51_mountainpine/images folder but still no go.

The template came with no favicon, so is there some code needed to make the option active?

Hi

No extra coding is needed. You could also place it in the root of your Joomla installation. Check your spelling of you favicon.ico.. I notice above you have it spelled as "favico.ico".

Would you have a URL?

It was actually there, but apparently the browser cache for favicons takes a while to expire. It can be forced to reload by using cntrl-shift-f5 (or cmnd-shift-r on mac.)
