Hello Ciarán

I am nearing completion of a site to completely replace a much older Joomla site. Apart from Google Analytics the site does not need any cookies as it is purely to provide information.

However, if I set my test site to 'online' then using http://www.cookie-checker.com/ fails to come up with anything (and gives "Error: Something went wrong. Please try again.";) Whereas, when the same site interrogates the old website, it finds 2 cookies; one that seems to have been set by the ja_purity template and one other unknown (49bbc93b2c21f4dcad834b2af8cedaf5).

My question, to help me comply with EU/UK law is, does the Letterpress template set any cookies and, if so, to what purpose?

Best wishes

Mike

Hi Mike

No cookies are set by any Joomla51 templates. I would imagine this to be the case for all Joomla templates as their purpose is to simply style your site. Following is an article that may be of interest to you regarding Joomla, cookies and extensions available to handle them...
