Hi Ciran,

I startet to use Layla and Nina at Joomla 4 Installations.
Now I have a problem with cookiebot.

The cookiebot script works fine with Layla template under Joomla 3 but not under Joomla 4.
The same is with Nina template. I checked it with PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.0, but that makes no difference.

I can't find the reason.
Can you help?

Regards
Fred

Hi Fred

Would you have a URL to an example of your issue?

Hi Ciaran,

please have a look, two links are attatched.

The banner does not appear, the HEAD script is present.
But the second script for the cookie declaration preferences works, but not with complete features, it does not show the links for change and revoke consent.

The template is NINA but I do have another Joomla 4 website with LAYLA and it is the same effect.

Hi Fred

There doesnt appear to be any errors in your console. How are you adding the cookiebot script? Does it work with the default Joomla template (Cassiopeia)?

Hi Ciaran

yes it works with Cassiopeia without any problems.
And it shows the links for change and revoke consent at "cookie Einstellungen".

Something is blocking in the Joomla 4 versions of NINA ans LAYLA.

For example: LAYLA with COOKIEBOT under Joomla 3.x works perfect (see attatched link).
Cookiebot script was added in the same way as in Joomla 4 with LAYLA and/or NINA ( template stile > head custom code ).

I was thinking if there might be a z-index value in the joomla 4 versions, but that can't really explain the lack of the revoke links in the cookiebot settings page.
I even change PHP versions from 7.4 to 8.0 without any effect.

I don't know what to do now, so I'm contacting you. I like your templates and use them often with my clients. But i also need to get cookiebot to run under joomla 4 versions.

Thank you Fred

I have added your cookiebot script to the head of your current default template (Nina) and it appears to be working without issue. Maybe I am missing something or misunderstanding your query? I am not familiar with the extension so I have not tested its functionality.

That is really crazy. I did that exactly before and nothing happens.
You really have changed nothing else, is that right?

I can't find any logic in this problem, except that it should be looked for at cookiebot service itself.

I will continue to monitor this to see if other Joomla 4 installations will have the same problem and will keep you posted. In the meantime, thank you very much for your help.

Hello

I believe all I did was copy the script tag from your Cassiopeia template and pasted it into your Joomla51 template. I pasted it to the end of your head tag which may be significant.
