Hello Ciaran,

I have some thoughts about two module positions in the Emani template.

If I go to the template options > Modules/Component Styling of Emani, I can set base-1 and base-2 background colors.
I also can set footer background color.
The two module positions footer-1 and footer-2 are not available in the template options. I think maybe the idea was to use these two positions like header-1 and header-2, but that should have been implemented in a similar way (that's just my opinion^^).

Why are they no seperate module containers?
I am not able to use them as module positions with a 100% width. If I give them another background color, they are surrounded by the background color of base-2.

I often have to build pages that have several lines of modules, each with different backgrounds, so that at some point you run out of modules containers ^^

On your demo site you do not use the footer modules and I would assume because they are not usable like the other module positions in the other containers. And they are not usable like header-1 and header-2.

Perhaps it would be worth thinking about implementing this differently in the next template?

But maybe its only me with this needs....?
Regards
Oli

Hi Oli

Thank you for sharing thoughts.

Why are they no seperate module containers?
All modules do technically have containers however it is not possible to define a single module position as 100% width. This is largely in an attempt for a somewhat simplefied template settings. Allowing full width single modules requires a large amount of related settings to make them truelly of use (margin, padfding etc.). As you can imagine, doing this for every single module position would greatly complicate the settings panel. The concept of module blocks we found covers the largest amount of use cases while keeping the settings available as straight forward as possible. Something we have considered is allowing unlimited numer of module blocks which should resolve the issue in a round about way.
