We are a volunteer non-profit organization. We lobby municipal government on a number of issues. We need to communicate our message to the local population.
One of our fellow organizations uses Pianoforte. Another uses Polaris.
We don't have a lot of resources to manage and modify templates. We need something ready to go that lets us get into operation quickly. Any recommendations as to the best template to use? Thanks

Hello

Firstly I would suggest choosing a template which includes a 'Demo Installer' which will allow you to create a duplicate of the template demo. This is always a great way to kick start a project. As a Joomla templates main focus is towards the styling, your choice of template is very much down to personal taste. Regardless following are a few possible options which may be suitable for your project and also include a template demo installer...

Thank you for the suggestions. How would I go about replacing the J51 Classic Template with one of the recommended templates. Do I simply install the new template and then uninstall the Classic template. Or do I leave both templates installed and then simply set the one I want as the default. I am concerned about losing the programming that was done using the Classic template.

Hello

If you care concerned about loosing any setting information, you can simply install the new template and then set it as default. There is no need to uninstall the Classic template.
