Hi Ciaran,

I'm currently converting an existing website to your Choice template (to make it PHP 7 and Joomla 4 compatible).

The site uses a menu in the sidecolumn position.
Level 1: no problem.
Submenu-items level 2: no problem, they're indented nicely.
Submenu-items level 3: problem! They indent to the same position as level 2 items.

I have already tried copying the code you provided earlier for the Metropolis and Ultra Lite templates, but that didn't produce the desired effect. Maybe I copied them to the wrong position (the very end of the Template.css file), I'm an absolute nitwit as far as CSS is concerned.

I'd be very grateful if you could help me out!

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Paul

Would you have a URL to an example of this issue?

Sorry, no. It is still in my development environment on localhost.
The best I can do is a screenshot to illustrate the issue (attached).

In this example:
"De Werkgroepen" = menu level 1
"Jeugdnatuurwerkgroep" = menu level 2 (indented as it should, but note the four dots in front, which should be in front of "Natuur-onderhoud projecten" six lines lower)
"Excursies" = menu level 3 (identical in appearance and indentation as level 2)

Hope this will be sufficient.

Paul

Hello

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

.module ul ul ul li {
margin-left: 18px !important;
}

I'm afraid I need some more help ....... :(

Where exactly do I add these lines? Which file? Which section (or line-numbers)?
I can't find any Custom CSS or Template parameters.
I've tried a few places that looked likely to me, but no joy.

I told you I'm a nitwit in CSS ...... ;)

Hi Paul

My fault.. as Choices is one of our older templates I had forgotten that it does not include a Custom CSS field. Instead add the suggested CSS to the end of your templates jstuff.css (../templates/j51_choice/css/jstuff.css).

Hi Ciarán,

Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick either.

I will now be rearranging my menus a bit, so as to circumnavigate the problem.
Should you have any other ideas, I'd like to hear them. If not, consider this "case closed".

Thanks for your help. Míle buíochas.
