Chelsea - how to hide the Welcome section ?

Hi,
I would like to remove the text and image for:

Welcome to Chelsea

Presuming you have loaded the template demo, this area is the component/article area. You can find this article in your 'Article Manager' listed as 'Welcome to Chelsea'.

To hide the component/article area completely may I suggest the following article... https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/hiding-the-component-article-area-on-a-page
