To remove this border could you try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

.j51_border2, .j51_border1, #showcase_padding {

    border-width: 0;

}

The search field is image based so you will have to edit the image directly...

../templates/j51_executive/images/searchBox.png

Many thanks for your answer.
The first part of my question was spot on.

However, I think you have completely misunderstood the second part.
I am not trying to change the corners of the searchbox. I want to change the corners of the modual positions! I simply used the search box as an example of what I want to do to the modual positions.

(i.e. both parts of the request relate to the Subject line: Change boader line around module positions)

I'd be very grateful if you could please revisit the origional question.

Could you try also adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters where 10px is your new border radius (edit to taste)...

#content_inner, .border_outer, .sidecol_inner, #showcase, #sidecol_inner,

.j51_border2, .j51_border1, #showcase_padding {

    border-radius: 10px;

}
