Hi Guys, I am currently using the Catalyst template for my website on Joomla version 3.1.1. After updating to the latest version of Joomla (3.1.5) my site became inaccessible. My web hosts told me that it was because the template is incompatible with the latest version and had to revert back to 3.1.1.

Is there an updated version of this template? Apparently, the latest Joomla version has important security updates, but I would also like to keep using this template as I like the look and it's versatility.

Thank you,

Jermaine

Hi Jermaine

Your template should work without issue on the latest version of Joomla. When running Joomla 3.1.5, does your site load when you select one of the default Joomla templates?

Hi Ciaran, sorry for the delay.

I haven't tried using a default template. How should I go about doing this? Should I switch templates then update? Or Update first then switch? And how do I go about reverting back to the previous version if I need to?

Alternatively, is there another template I can use as a substitute that has the same features?

Thank you.

Hello

When I say the default Joomla templates I mean the templates included with Joomla when your first set up the CMS (Beez or Protostar). It is just a way for us to find out if your issue is caused by the Catalyst template. I the issue is still present when using for example the Beez template it would indicate that the issue is not template related. You can set these templates to as default via your Template Manager.

You could try our free Oxygen template which uses the same framework as our Catalyst template (http://www.joomla51.com/index.php?option=com_zoo&;view=item&layout=item&Itemid=277).

Hi Ciaran,

I think the issue could be with the template itself as the default templates worked ok when I updated.

I've reverted back now though.

The oxygen template is ok...however I would like to stick with the dark theme for my website. Do you have any other template suggestions that are dark and use the same framework?

Thank you

On second thoughts, I have just found the 'Piano Forte' template and really like it. So I've decided to purchase that and give it a try!

Thank you,
