Cashmere-different color style for each menu items

Hi, I wish to know, if it is possible to have different menu style for each menu item. For example. i know, there is option to change color styles for whole template, but it is possible to have Menu1 item and color style 1, for Menu2 color style 2 etc...

Hello

Styling can be applied using the unique ID of your menu item. This ID can be found in the right column of your menu items list. To use simply add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters where 482 is your menu item and #FF0000 is your new menu item color (edit to taste).


#hornav .item-482 a {

    color: #FF0000;

}

Can this be applied to other templates as well? Im trying this in pianoforte, but it does not seem to work...

Yes this would also work for our PianoForte. Try changing the CSS slightly to the following where 482 is the your menu item ID...


#hornav .item-482 a {

    color: #FF0000 !important;

}


Failing that please post a URL to an example of the menu item you wish to change.

Hi Ciarán, I'd like to do what you do on most templates: under example styles change the color of the menu, titles and background.
If I install a test site with the demo data thats included with the template, those example styles will be in there as well?

Ah, found it: different template styles. Still cant get it to work, seems that the demo joomla has an older version of the template in it

I created another template style, hooked it up to a menu item, but doesnt work yet. Maybe Im overlooking something...

Hello

Just to confirm, you have a assigned your template style to your menu item via the 'Menu Assignment' tab in your templates styles parameters (Extrensions -> Temnplate Manager -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Menu Asssignment)?

Yes! And double checked it by going to the menu item - template style and it gives the style I assigned it. Still no different style if I click that menu item on the site.

Excuse me for hijacking this thread by the way, its not even under the correct forum
