Hi there, sorry to bug you but I'm quite desperate. My feed isn't validating with feedburner and the following errors are reported. I have absolutely no idea where to start or what this means - I did find the first line in the template file, but obviously didn't fiddle with anything given that I'm clueless. I'd appreciate your input, as I'm working hard to keep regular new content in place and it's not 'going anywhere'. Thanks so much.

I'm not sure that what follows is actually template related, but really desperately need some help.

Thank you.

line 1, column 1: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:1: XML or text declaration not at start of entity [help]

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
^

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type [help]

Your feed appears to be encoded as "utf-8", but your server is reporting "US-ASCII" [help]

Hi Judah

Just to confirm that this is a template related issue, could I ask you to check if the issue is present when using one of the default Joomla templates (Beez/Protostar)?

Hi Judah

Yes this would indicate that the issue is not related to the template. Sorry to say it is an area I am not familiar with.
