Call to a member function get() on null

Ciarán,

I am using the Kinvara template on Joomla 3.8.6 (PHP 7.0) and have this strange problem. When I use the search module from Joomla I get:
Call to a member function get() on null
/home/droogdok2018/domains/http://droogdok.nl/public_html/templates/j51_kinvara/index.php:30
(Within a red Joomla Error screen)

Is this a Template related error?
