Caitlin - IE problem: slideshow beneath horiz menu

Hi Ciaran, our website is just about ready and people are testing it on different browsers, we have a problem on Internet Explorer / Microsoft Edge:
the Header image "slideshow" in the "showcase" position (ie the banner images at the top) show up beneath the horizontal/main-menu. You see the image as normal above the menu, then there is a bit more of the image below the menu. In all other browsers, the bottom of the image is hidden behind the article.
Something weird is that this happens on most pages, but not always and not all pages, and then when I go back to a page where it wasn't happening, then it can show up there too.
Is there a workaround for this for IE? or do I just have to crop those photos?

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...


.vegas-container {

    height: 351px !important;

}

thank you, the result of that was - in place of the strip of photo that was below the menu, there is now a strip of the background colour there - - and that looks just fine. So that issue is resolved, close enough anyways!
thanks, I have a couple more issues, but will write a new topic.
