I need to close up the space in the header, directly under the menu more. I previously input your code and that helped on the home page. However, all the other pages, I have a really large gap. http://tinyurl.com/opaakb2

I also would like to know if I can use the current background (as seen in the header area) for the entire background of all the pages, except for home page?

Hello

To apply the same Custom CSS to the other pages simply add the Custom CSS used on your homepage to the templates styles of each page (Extensions -> Template Manager).

that code will not work. I have tried to use it a few times, and it only explands the menu / module down and the images does show over the entire area, howeve I dont want to expand the module down. I simply want a fixed background, just like you have on the template, Nocturne. http://demo.joomla51.com/?theme=Nocturne

any suggestions?

Hello

What is the Custom CSS you are using? Would you have a URL to an example of the issue?
