All templates do have styling included for Joomla's blogging features. Having just a blogging page would be down to how you set up Joomla by just using the blogging features. I would say that Joomla might be slightly overkill if you just intend to use your site for blogging. It may be worth considering something like Ghost (https://ghost.org/) which is strictly a blogging CMS which is does very well.

Thank you so much Ciaran.. thank you.. you articulated the way I felt.. Joomla Templates over the top for blogging.. just need something simple for a couple blogging sites.. Thanks for the recommendation saves me a lot of time.. I'm still doing the Joomla51 sites as well. One of my sites is having an .htaccess problem... my host can't seem to help. Thanks again..

One more question before I decide to purchase a Blog template. Do you know if I can assign a domain name to the Blog associated with one of my Joomla51 websites? I don't think I can.. but it would be like an extension to the original domain name right? thanks

Presuming I understand you correctly you can point a domain to any URL, so as long as your blog has a URL you can point a domain to it. You may wish to contact your hosting provider for a more definitive answer

Yes, I realize your response.. but I guess I was asking if I only want to use the Blog page from for example Cashmere.. I want to omit the other pages.

1) Use my blog domain name
2) Use only Blog component of Cashmere

I suppose it can be done.. But, maybe it is not beneficial? Trying to feel this out.. Thanks
