Dear Ciaran,

I'm using the J51_News in Bianca Template to display products and I would like to have the following features if possible:

1- Have the Read More bottom able to open an external link (not the article page) in a new window - for this particular module.
2- Alternatively (if external link with read more not possible), to be able to show a link within the introductory text where I can hyperlink a text with external link that opens in a new window.
3- css code to remove the stripe above the image (I just wanted for certain news modules not for all).

I'm also sending you a temporary access with a link to this case.

Thank you for the access details however we are getting the following error when we attempt to access your administration..

Attempted to load interface "JsonSerializable" from the global namespace.


1. / 2.For this, you would nee to create an override for your module. If you are not familiar with creating overrides, we can create one for you.

3. To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

we are getting the following error when we attempt to access your administration

I found this error this morning and I contacted the host provider for that. Will let you know when you are able to access the site to create the override as I'm not familiar with it.

In review of the forum on similar requests, I assume that having the "Read More" button as an external link is not possible (correct me if I'm wrong).

In reference to the this case: (Titlehttps://www.joomla51.com/forum/j51-news-html-not-read#reply-42519) I was able to make the override and insert a link within the intro text. This could do the work.

One more request here;

I would like to keep the "Read More" button visible but not clickable so I can name it whatever I want and remove the hover effect and pointer effect, is that possible?

Presuming I understand you correctly, try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.btn.j51news-btn {

    pointer-events: none;

}
