I am trying to place a new module in the header, can you advise me where the header.php is in this template

You will find the templates header.php located at ../templates/j51_beaumont/php/layouts/header.php

In the tutorial about adding a new module in the header it states:

<div id ="header" class="block_holder">

This is not in the header.php, so where should I place it

As an alternative the new module can be placed after the following in your templates index.php (../templates/j51_beaumont/index.php)...
