how do I achieve that large top image (artisan template) on the home page like on the screenshot of the template? I have found this tutorial https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/creating-a-new-module-position-in-the-header-area-of-your-template but I struggle with first task, to find the <div id ="header" class="block_holder"> in the header.php file. I have tried adding module, but then Im not sure what size should the image be. Im confused.

For the template demo of our Artisan template we used the 'J51 - LayerSlideshow' module included with your download and placed it in the 'showcase' module position.
