Artisan thumbs gallery scaling on mobile devices

Hi Ciarán

Is there a way to scale the image displayed when a thumbnail is clicked on a mobile device in portrait?

I am working on http://solwaycrafts.co.uk/fountain2/index.php/galleries/ian-watson.

Ian is a brilliant wildlife photographer and I have removed the slideshow element from mobile devices on his page as all the mobile viewer would see was out of focus green stuff.
So a phone user now just gets the thumbnails, but if they click on the thumbnail the image is too big and the options for next, pre and close are not visible. Can they be made smaller?

Thank you for all your help so far. The home page is getting to look how I want it, though Artisan has so many options I'm stuck for choice!

It works but imho, slightly diminishes the impact of the image on a mobile device. Serves them right for complaining.
