Hi Team,
We recently implemented Artisan, but, I have encountered some inconsistency and unexpected behavior which I would greatly appreciate your help with.

1. When viewing with MS Edge, Chrome and Firefox the menu is at the top of the screen, but, with MS Edge is it on the left when put into full screen mode (screen shots in attached Word doc)
2. When a sub-menu exists and the browser *is not* in full screen mode a right arrow displays but when the mouse hovers the sub-menus don't show unless the menu item is selected.
3. When a submenu exists with MS Edge and the browser *is* in full screen mode no arrow or indication of a sub-menu displays unless the menu item is selected.

Note:
- mootools has been entered in the Menu ID Tag
- the web site is http://traceytimsdesign.com.au/

Cheers
Rob

I've tried numerous times to add screen shots around 250k in size but repeatedly get a message of "File Exceeds configured limit.
Accessing the web site and following the details should yield the same results.
Cheers

Hi Rob

The main menu placed in the left sidecolumn would be the default display for the template on a desktop screen. If a screen is not wide enough to accommodate both the content and the side column then the mobile version of the site is enabled (hamburger menu to top right of screen). Presuming I understand you correctly the desktop version of the site is only been displayed using MS Edge?

If you are having issues attaching .doc files, try emailing the file directly to us (info@joomla51.com). Please paste a URL to this post in your email for our reference.

Hi Ciarán,

My apologies for the delayed response.

I have two questions
Question 1.
You're assumption is correct. The desktop version is only displayed in MS Edge.
Zooming in/out to 50% makes no difference

Question 2.
When using MS Edge and the menu is on the left of the screen, there is no indication of a sub-menu

I will send the screen shots and link to this ticket.

Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob

1. We appear to be having a bit of an issue replicating this issue. Has reducing the width of your template wrapper made any difference for you?

2. To add some indication to parent menu items try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

.hornav > ul > .parent:before {
content: "";
display: block;
left: 47%;
position: absolute;
bottom: 5px;
width: 14px;
width: 0;
height: 0;
border-style: solid;
border-width: 5px 5px 0 5px;
border-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2) transparent transparent transparent;
}

Ciarán,
Thanks for the details.
1. I tried reducing the template width to 960. Unfortunately there is no change... :(

2. The CSS code has been added and there is a right arrow now showing - Thanks!

A side effect is that all browsers now have a hamburger menu... Not sure if it is a side effect of the CSS code or because if changed the template width?

Let me know if it would be easier to diagnose with admin access.

Regards
Rob

Thank you Rob

I have edited your template files so the mobile menu is activated 140px less than default. Has this resolved the issue for you?

Hi Ciarán,
Apologies for the delayed response - my day job...
This has only affected the MS Edge browser.
I will send a screen shot of a Chrome browser behind the MS Edge browser...
I'm not sure if it has any effect, but, I am running Windows 10, but, having said that, so is my customer.
Regards
Rob
