Hi, sorry if my questions are too basic...

First problem is that I think I can´t install the template demo as I use a hosting service for joomla, meaning I install it via the hoster, without ftp or anything...database is set up automatically etc. I would be so happy if I just could use that demo template to begin with! So in case you have a hint..otherwise I will ask my hoster if this is possible.

Second...I installed the Artisan template, and when I "start" it on my PC, the menu shows up as a mobile menu, and, on the top. So how do I get the menu to the left side (as in the demo), and why do I see a mobile menu on PC?

Third...what module is used for the picture slideshow in the demo?

Thanks in advance!

Hello

1. Your host should have no issue setting you up with FTP access to your server. If this is not the case you should have access to an server explorer access via your host admin (cPanel)?

2. It sounds like your screen size is less than the width of your website wrapper width which would trigger the mobile version of your menu. Try reducing the width of your template wrapper in the 'Layout Options' tab of your templates parameters until the issue is resolved.

3. The J51-LayerSlideshow was used for this area of the template demo. You will find this module included with your download (mod_j51layerslideshow.zip).

I am now using my laptop displaying on TV which has a 1920px wide screen, so I should not be getting any web site displaying with the "mobile menu". ( I have recently updated to the latest Windows 10 update)
The two sites refered to below have all updates e.g. Joomla 3.4.8 etc.
I have a web site using the Artisan template (torrens.me.uk) and another using the Florence template (whitchurchwaterway.uk).
Using either "Chrome", or "Microsoft Edge" or "Microsoft Internet Explorer" or "Firefox" browsers the Florence template displays correctly and with the "Template Width" set to 800 it switches to the "Mobile Menu" for a screen size of less than 1100px (with any browser)
However:
With the Artisan Template when also set to a template width of 800 I get the following results.
"Microsoft Edge": Switches to Mobile at a screen width of about 760px
"Microsoft Internet Explorer": Switches to Mobile at a screen width of about 1300px
"Firefox": Stays always on a "Mobile Menu" any screen size.
"Chrome": Stays always on a "Mobile Menu" any screen size.
Just to check there was nothing special messing things up on one of the sites I set up pages on both sites using the templates from the other site. This did not clear the issue.
http://torrens.me.uk/florence and http://www.whitchurchwaterway.uk/artisan
So indicating something odd with the Artisan Template .

Hi David

At your current template settings (http://www.whitchurchwaterway.uk/artisan) the breakpoint for your site is at 1160px. Any screen size below this figure will display the mobile version of the menu/header. Please ensure that the default zoom is set in your browser (CTRL + 0). Zooming your browser window will in effect decrease the screen size of your browser, therefore triggering the responsive options.

We are getting a 404 error on http://www.whitchurchwaterway.uk/artisan
