Article is presented with a different url than expected and underneath, instead of top of page

Can you explain why in the demo of Riley the article from the news-module (after klicking the image) is presented single on top of the page and having a clean url, and at my homepage which I am adapting, the url contains something like '?view=article&id=' and the article is presented underneath all modules on the same page?

It sounds like your articles are inheriting the module assignment of your homepage.
