Hello Ciaràn,

I want to use the Amelia template.

How can I insert a background image in the template Amelia and make the sidebar with the main navigation transparent?

Thanks!

Hello

To amend you can add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

Replace the # with a URL to your image.

#body_panel {
background-image: url('#');
background-size: cover;
background-attachment: fixed;
}
#container_header {
background-color: transparent;
}

Sounds easy.
Incidentally, Magnolia is also a wonderful template.

Thank you for the fast answer.

Thank you, that worked well.
Maybe you have a hint to hide the backgroundimage on the mobile device view.

One option is to wrap the suggested CSS in a media query (edit to taste)...

@media only screen and (min-width: 960px) {
#body_panel {
background-image: url('#');
background-size: cover;
background-attachment: fixed;
}
#container_header {
background-color: transparent;
}
}

A very good hint. Instead of removing the background image, I replaced it. And everything worked perfectly. Thanks for the good service
