Hi Ciaran,

I have always loved the Boutique template and the way that it has the ability to use Video as a background in the header. What I would LOVE t be able to do is reduce the height of the div containing the video.... Is that Possible?

Hi Patrick

Would you have a URL to an example of your background header video?

http://d1189658-102128.blacknighthosting.com/modelnsmonaghan.com/
is the test Page I have it assigned to

What My Goal would be is to some how crop or position the video
#bgvid {
position: absolute;
}
So that the it only appeared inside the red box. It that Possible?

For instance in
http://d1189658-102128.blacknighthosting.com/modelnsmonaghan.com/index.php/features/colour-choosers

The video and menu are in the right position, BUT I just want the video to FILL the width in the background

Hi Patrick

As Youtube places the video in an iframe, they can be a little tricky to customize. Could you see if the following Custom CSS gives you the desired effect?...

#player {
transform: scale(4);
}

Thanks Ciaran, But That Didn't seem to do anything.

I suppose it is the fact that we are locked into the youtube player

I'm not really in a big rush, but my long term dream would be to have video banners like this

Thank you Patrick for the suggestion.

We will certainly look in to adding this feature. Our more recent templates uses the Vegas slidshow (https://vegas.jaysalvat.com/) which allows for video so it should not be to difficult to add the feature.

Hi Patrick

Any template that includes an option in the template settings to add multiple background images generally use the Vegas script.

We have reached a stumbling block regarding Joomla allowing the selection of video with media fields however I have noticed a PR was put in this morning relating to this... https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/19967

Presuming this PR gets merged, we can then proceed to adding the feature to our templates.
