Solved: Adding fontawsome to J4 - placement visible but the icon is absent

Hell,
I have followed the tutorial for 'Adding a Font Awesome icon to a menu item' and cannot get the Emainei template to display the same (see screenshot) as a simple search icon. The placement is visible but the icon is absent.

What do you suggest, please?

you are using the 4.7 font awesome, it needs to be 5.0 thats what joomla is using. Try fas fa-search

Your horizontal menu is barely visible, when the background image is rather light. You might add some custom css like this:


#hornav-nav {

	background: darkorange;

    border-radius: 10px;

}
