3rd party extensions with joomla51 templates

Is it possible to install 3rd party extensions such as "Modals" into your joomla51 templates? My client would like an equipment list with popups to images on his site and I'm wondering if they would be compatible.

What is the URL to the issue? What is the extension? Are you having the same issue when using the default Joomla template?

So I have downloaded a couple of 3rd party modules that are not working... do they just not work or do you code them out?

May I suggest the following URL which details a list of possible extension you can use which will add modal lightboxes to elements of your site content.. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a-design/popups-a-iframes

You shouldn't have any issues using these extensions with your template.
