Zap Calendar Extension with any kind of modal or popup window darkened and unusable.

Hey Guys,

I’m having issues with events, icons (e.g. trash), and sign-me-ups. I can’t use modal windows in the calendars, even with bootstrap animation disabled. I have to use ‘New Window’ for the link configuration on calendars. Otherwise, using modal, the modal window appears so high you can’t see it, not to mention it’s hazed out so you can’t do anything with it.

Also, in the frontend of my site, when I have a registered user login and try to click on a sign me up icon or the trash can icon, a window pops up, but the whole screen is hazed out and clicking on the window just makes the thing go away and the calendar appear normal again. I’m not able to use sign-me up.

Any ideas what I can look into? I've attached pics.

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.slideout-panel {

    z-index: 1041;

    position: relative;

}

.content_main {

    z-index: 100;

}

.modal {

    box-shadow: 0 0 0 2000px rgba(0,0,0,.6) !important;

}

Thanks for the reply, Ciaran. That didn't work, but I think you're onto something. I've attached a site-side pic of the calendar. This one only users that are volunteers can access it ('Volunteers' is an access level on the site). You can see there are two icons; one is for signups and the other is to trash the event. Clicking on signups opens a modal window, which is fairly hazed out. Clicking on any button in it simply closes the window. Sometimes when you click on either icon, you're whole browser page is just dark. I tried taking 2000px to zero, but that had no effect.

We have added the following directly to your template CSS which appears to have resolved the issue?...

body .modal-backdrop {

    z-index: 0 !important;

}


It seems the Zap component sets an alternative z-index which is at odds with the template.
