Assuming I understand you correctly, this is how Joomla handles module assignments. For Joomla to be able to assign/unassign a module on any particular page it requires that the page have a menu item related to it. If no menu item exists the module assignment of the parent page is used. As I see it your solution would be one of the following..

1. Create a hidden menu. A quick Google search should give you plenty of information on this.
2. Use an extension that gives more elaborate module assignment possibilities. By far the most popular is... https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/advanced-module-manager/

Have you any menu items that link to the posts in the older environment? Is it only with a menu item that modules can be assigned/unassigned without a module manager extension.

No! As you can see with backup.dravecore.de, I used the one-page menu. It was easily possible to access the three posts from the news module on the home page!
Unfortunately, my provider can only provide me with PHP version 8.1 at the end of February, so I could not use the menu manager at the moment. Which is very annoying!

Could I ask you to allow us access to your extensions manager. There appears to be an issue with your SEF URLs causing menu items to give a 404 error.
