Hi,
I try to change the templatename of J51_chelsea.
However I do not manage to change it all.
This is what I did.
I copied the template in the extension manager > templates
Then I have the template copied.
But in one or another way I can not connect the styles the the new template... How do I do that? Do I also have to copy the styles?
Thing is that when I copy it I do not have the freedom to select another template.
Anyone an idea?
Rename Chelsea template

Hello
Template styles can be applied to the menu items of your choice via the 'Menu Assignment' tab of your templates parameters. For further details on creating multiple styles check out... https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/creating-multiple-template-styles

Hello
I believe this is taken from your templates folder name. Changing this however may cause you some issues. You could simply hide this field by adding the following to the end of your templates admin.css (/templates/j51_chelsea/css/admin.css)...

Hi Ciaran,
Sorry I think you dont understand what I mean. It is not about hiding in this way.
All the different styles are connected to the Chelsea template.
The template I copied has got no styles.
How can I connect a style to my new copied template?
( the style is connected to a template , when I assign a style automatically the chelsea template is choosen. )

Thank you
Sorry to say there is no quick way to copy style settings from one template to another. Your only option is to replicate each template style using your new template (protectcoat) and set the styling manually. You will also have to set the Menu Assignment for each style to assign your new styles to the frontend.

Okay I see I have to copy it.
But can you tell me step by step what I have to do then?
For example when I want to have the bubles on the new template ? What do I have to do then?

Hello
An option to add this effect is available in the Styling tab of your Chelsea template style settings and should also be available with your copied template. In the Styling tab set the Particles Animation select field to the module block of your choice.
Don't forget to apply the style to the menu items of your choice via the Menu Assignment tab of your templates parameters.
