Problem with custom.css

One of the great things about Nina is the possibility of using a custom.css file. I converted a number of sites (7) using Polaris on Joomla 3 to Nina on Joomla 4 by re-building - tedious but you get a clean site and I'm semi-retired so I have the time. Today, I noticed that there is a Nina version 1.1.7 that's available so I updated a couple of sites. They immediately lost all the custom css in the custom.css file. I could restore it by copy and pasting all the custom css into the custom css box. It seems that the file custom.css was not "seen". I tried Nina 1.1.1 but it also did not work. I fixed the problem by reverting to Nina 1.0.8. It's not a really bad problem, but it should be fixed. Also Nina's text says the path for the custom.css file should be via media/templates etc but it's actually templates/j51_nina/css/custom.css

I belive the new child templates feature in Joomla can have an effect on where the custom.css is been loaded from. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

I have updated your template to the latest download, added your custom.css to ‎../media/templates/site/j51_nina/css/ and your custom CSS appears to be now loading without issue.

I tried using Nina 1.1.8 on a different site and the same problem. BUT, if I then put custom.css in a new location: ‎../media/templates/site/j51_nina/css/ - it was OK. To be fair, your note does specify that path but I'm sure the previous versions specified a different path.
Anyway, thanks for your help. It's now fixed.

Yes there was a change with the introduction of Joomlas child templates that affected where CSS was been stored. Maybe the best solution is to keep a fall back for the custom CSS to the old location (ie, template folder) or possibly update the location on install.
