Modules appointed to one language no more accessible

A strange problem with one of my older websites, made with the famous template 'Classic', and Joomla 3.10.11.
I'm, login backend, no longer able to open modules appointed to one language. The result is a total blank page.
Opening modules accessible for all languages is no problem.
The modules are still displayed in the website, but they need adaption. Changing admintemplate from Isis to Hathor doesn't help.
How could I solve this?

That does seem rather strange and I cant think of any reason why might happen. As this is affecting your administration, it would not be related to the frontend template so I may not be the best person to ask :)
