Here is my site. For the menu items at the top, specifically "Brethren Church" and "Rare Books," how do I go about having text show that gives a brief description.

For the first item I would like, when the mouse hovers over it, display the text "Brethren Church Archives." Otherwise I will have to renamed the menu to a longer string of text.

Hi Wayne

A few changes will need to be made to your template. Firstly extract the following file in to your templates html folder (../templates/j51_clarity/html - delete original)..

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/69136519/mod_menu.zip

Then add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...
#hornav a span {
text-align: center;
}
#hornav a span.j51_menudescription {
font-size: 12px;
height: 5px;
padding:0;
color:#999999;
margin-top:-5px;
}
.smOW {
margin-left:50px;
}
You can then use the 'Link Title Attribute' field in your menu items parameters to add your description.

Now I remember!!! I keep forgetting that there are minor changes between Joomla versions. Either that or I'm going senile. Probably the latter.

I went in and set the "Link Title Attribute" and that resolved the issue. Odd though that the other day on a competitor's template I could not get it to change.

Thanks once again Ciarán.
