Just updated Joomla to 3.6.3, then 3.6.4, With update to 3.6, the templates stopped working. I'm using Caitlin. Everything worked perfectly before the 3.6.3 upgrade. I updated the template to the 10/27/16 version, still not luck. Every menu item is showing the default template which should only be showing on the home page. Help!! What is going on and how do I fix it?

Thanks,
Lee

Hi Lee

To ensure this is a template related issue, are you having the same issue with the default Joomla templates (Protostar)? If not may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

I sent you the info you requested. I don't understand why I would switch the template to Protostar to test it -- why would I go through all of that effort when the work i'd already done was working fine until the 3.6.3 update?

This is simply a measure to help troubleshoot your issue. Setting a standard Joomla template to a menu item would be a very temporary measure to determine if your issue is template related or elsewhere.

Having checked your site we are unable to replicate issue. For example your 'Member Login' menu item is showing 'W.O.M.E.N. in America Member Area' in the header.

The issue is NOT fixed -- each of the different menu items is supposed to show a different set of colors -- the menu bar, the header colors, the background colors, etc. Did you even look at the templates? In the About section, the background color, header color, etc. are supposed to be a completely different set of colors, for example. Every menu item is showing the default template. And the default template is showing it's supposed to be on every page, when it's not checked for that, only for the Home page. Please, LOOK AT THE TEMPLATES and you'll see what I mean.

This does not appear to be a template related issue. The issue is present regardless of which template is assigned to a menu item (inc. non Joomla51 templates). Possibly related to a 3rd party plugin. One suggestion would be to disable all plugins and see if that resolves the issue. If so, enable them one by one until you find the offending plugin.
