Strangely we have been unable to replicate this issue. We have been able to log in to your frontend and edit custom modules without issue. Are you having the issue on a particular browser? Is the issue present on a particular custom module or all custom modules?

I think I've discovered the problem. The edit icon had color #fff on a white background, so I couldn't see it to edit the custom modules.
I've put this in custom.css now:
.btn.jmodedit {
color: blue;
}

If you do update you may wish to remove your custom CSS for best results.
