I use J51Oxygen (Free) Template with Joomla 3.8.5 and JCE Editor. To insert an image from the Media folders I created in the Editor, I have to use the "Image" tab at the bottom of JCE Eeditor rather than the Icon. Once I have inserted the image I can then go to the icon in the editor and resize etc. If I do not do it this way I cannot see the files I uploaded via Media in the Joomla, only another set of folders. Why do I think this might be a J51Oxygen issue. Apart from doing lots of searching, I have three other sites that have the Beez3 template and they work fine.

Hi Hugh
Been on of our older releases, the Oxygen template is not responsive. This means that your site will appear on mobile devices in the exact same way as it appears on your deskptop computer.

Ciarán,
I have just been told that our site does not appear to be responding to Mobiles in the way other sites do. I don't use my smart phone much for web stuff and thought that when it came up the same as on my laptop it was working okay. http://halswellcommunity.net.nz/

Ciarán.
Problem solved but not directly from above. However I did go through and check all those things. You mentioned Folder permissions and this got me focusing on Folders which I always thought the issue was related to. I did a search and it lead to an article on Editor Parameters:
https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/tutorials/editor/setting-the-file-directory-path.
So my steps were to:
JCE Administraton: Editor Profiles
Default>Editor Parameters>File System
Changed File Directory Path from root/images to images.
I know this is not your issue but thought you may like to know the result and to express appreciation for the assistance you provided that got me thinking in the right direction

Hi Hugh
Personally I would start by checking your folder permissions and ensure everything is ok (System -> System Information -> Fodler Permissions.
After that I would try disabling any 3rd party plugins you might have installed (Extensions -> Plugins). Sort your plugins by ID. 3rd party plugins usually have a significantly higher ID number than Joomla core plugins.

Ciarán, I was able to attempt the above sooner than I thought. J51 Oxygen caused no issue in the other site I tried. So looks like I will have to do some more research. Joomla Forum has not provided any solutions after two submissions - the first about 10 months ago the last see link:
https://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&t=958915.
I will contact JCE Editor now, having thought I had everything in place with that.
Any other suggestions appreciated and thanks again for your response.

Thanks Ciarán for your response and suggestion. I have just tried both Protostar and Beez3 and the problem persists. What I also hadn't thought of was to load the J51Oxygen Template into one of the other sites. I will do that later today and may have a response before you read this.
