Hello Ciaran,

I use the J51_News module in the following url where I publish articles under a category I have created named News. Is there a way to categorize these news per year also based on the date of their publication?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Eri

Hi Eri

Sorry to at present this option is not available. Currently the module does not have any kind of live filtering (eg. tag, year, category etc.). Is the following the type of filtering you have in mind?... https://isotope.metafizzy.co/

Actually this solution or a similar one that could be incorporated in the current module would be rather good!

Also Ciaran another problem I have is that pagination does not work (prev-next) with this module. As a result, as new announcements keep being added there will be a time where someone will have to go down and down and down to the page to see all of them but the result in an aesthetics point of view will not be very good..is there a way the pagination to work so as to be able to define how many announcements are shown on each page?

Can you inform me accordingly whether I will be able to use other the one or the other or both of the above solutions?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Eri

Hi Eri

Presuming I understand you correctly and you wish to add pagination similar to that of Joomla articles, I am sorry to say this is not possible with a module. Paginantion of this type where output varies depending on the URL is only possible with a Joomla component.

We will look in to adding a filter to the news module over the coming weeks.

Hello Ciaran,

Do you have any update on my request regarding the News module filter now that 2020 ends?

Or do you have an alternative idea to propose in order to somehow group the news created under year 2020?

Best regards,

Eri
