On this site there is a lot of padding between the blue bar and the text and I cannot see how to reduce this. There seems to be a lot of padding between the various modules and I have set the "Remove Container Padding" option to "yes" wherever it is available - can you please help?

With the Joomlage Icons module is there a way to switch off the Link option. If I just blank the "Link To" field if defaults back to the joomlage link?

Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.maincontent {
padding-top: 30px;
padding-bottom: 30px;
}

To remove padding between modules you can also add the following (edit to taste)...

.module .module_surround,
.module_menu .module_surround {
padding-left: 10px;
padding-right: 10px;
}

I am not familiar with the 'Joomlage Icons' module. Would you have a URL to an example?

Thanks Ciaran - the main content code works fine, but I can't see any difference on the padding between modules.

If you look at:

http://perkinsandshaw.co.uk/index.php/contact-us

the modules used towards the bottom are very close together both vertically and horizontally and adding the css code didn't make any difference. The modules above these are spaced nicely horizontally but could still do with being a bit closer vertically.

You can also check the icons on the same page. The one with the address is the one I don't want a link on and as you can see it just goes to the Joomlage page.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Gary

Hi Gary

Try disabling the Remove Container Padding option in your template settings. This setting will force a padding of 0 regardless of yoru custom CSS.

Is your icons extension the one included with the template? It appears to be from Joomlage which is a separate extension developer.

Hi Ciaran,

Thanks I have now got padding sorted on the modules.

My apologies on the icons module - somehow I have managed to use the wrong one!! I will now use the J51 version and get back to you if I have any questions on it.

Best regards,

Gary
