Hello J51 Community,

I already tried by myself to change the Social Media Icons, because unfortunately for German users always the Social Media platform XING is mostly forgotten :-) In some cases I was able to change an already existing Icon, which I don't need... but at J51 Alexis I'm getting stucked... and hope for your help. Maybe this would be an interesting FAQ at your Tutorials page, too?

The beautiful way would be adding it also in the administration backend... but it would be also enough if you could tell me changing an already existing Icon to my own. When I change the PNG of an existing and add the XING Icon to that PNG and leave the name, I always see no logo in the frontend :-(

Thank you for your help in advance.

Best regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel

On our most recent template releases we have added an option to add any icons from the FontAwesome icon set to the social icons area of the template, all from within the templates parameters. I will apply this feature to our Alexis template over the next few days which will hopefully resolve this issue for you :).

Once I have updated the template, I will post here!

Oh my god...I found my fault. I wrote the PNG name wrong and thats why it wasn't visible (devianart instead of deviantart)... Ok, so the simple replacement of an already existing icon works fine :-)

Nevertheless, how can I add the beautiful solution? This means: Create a new field in the administrator backend for XING and the mentioned URL as well as the CSS class "social-xing"? Als already mentioned, this maybe would be a great FAQ for the Tutorial page.
My problem for this solution is more how to add the field in the administrator backend -> extensions -> templates -> style -> "my J51 alexis style" -> Social Media Icons.

Thanks in advance for short introduction.

Best regards,
Daniel
