Image upload button not functioning in article edit

In Chloe j4, When I click a "select to upload" button in an article edit, the finder does not open to select an image for upload. Also when I click the "X" the image is not cleared.

Any idea what that could be?

It turned out to be that the select options would not work on my staging server, so I used a subdomain and pointed the DNS of the subdomain to the ip address of the Staging Server.
