When hovering over the grid gallery images, the fade-out caption effect seems to be working (most of the time). However, my client reports that on their laptops, this effect doesn't happen at all, but it does on their desktop PCs. Clicking will link to the appropriate pages, but the titling is missing. It should appear like the "Residential Projects" first image in the attached screenshot.

I had already put that script code in my Head Custom Code. So my confusion is why it seems to work on some screens and not on others. It's not a browser issue since the client is running on same Chrome version, but desktops work, but laptops don't. The only thing that I can think of is a sizing issue for the screen; something in that grid gallery needs adjustments for smaller screen sizes? It works on my laptop (15" MAC), but on my mobile device, it doesn't show the caption overlay information either, which is perhaps the issue for smaller screen sizes, and iPads. I can replicate the problem on my computer when I reduce the browser window size: everything shrinks down in a nice responsive way, but then the home page images lose their captioning. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Carolyn

To amend could you try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters..

.j51gridgallery figcaption {
display: inline !important;
}
