Hi there,

I have the grid gallery installed and would like to have an external link in the text. Is there a way to do that? Is there also a way to use some styling in this text? Like an extra return or bold?

Hi Stephanie

May I suggest the following post on this subject.. http://www.joomla51.com/forum/8-commercial-templates/4432-renovate-mod-j51gridgallery-link-to-article#7605

Would you have a URL to an example of the text you wish to style?

This is the link: http://goedvoormijnlijf.s-webs.nl/portal/
Almost at the bottom there is an image with "animal care". I have now replaced the code as you suggested, so the whole image and text is now a link to something other than a page in my site. Great! But what I would also like to change is a little formatting and returns (so I can make them equal hights as well).

Hello

To set the height of the caption area of your images you can add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (edit to taste)..

.j51gridgallery figcaption {
min-height: 400px;
}

For the images you can also add the following...

.j51gridgallery figure img {
min-height: 400px;
}

Note that it is better to resize the images rather than using the above as this will stretch them.

Thank you Ciarán! It works!

How about the styling in this block? Is there no way I can use some of this code in the text?
<.b><./b>
<.i><./i>
<.a href><./a>
<./br>
(without the dots ofcourse ;-))

Hi Stephanie

You should have no issues using these styling tags within the description field of your GridGallery.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't even try that. :blush: I was asuming that wouldn't work because of the little field you have to fill in. I'm going to try right away!

Thanks again!

Can I prevent it from splitting the line?

My code:
<br>Bekijk de <a href="http://gallery.foreverliving.com/gallery/NLD/download/distrib/Downloads_Presentaties/Dierenpresentatie_NL_112011.pdf"; target="blank">folder.</a>

It places "folder" below the text, where it should just be the next word in line.

Hello

Try changing your code to the following, adding display: inline; to your link...

<br>Bekijk de <a href="http://gallery.foreverliving.com/gallery/NLD/do...ntatie_NL_112011.pdf" target="blank" style="display: inline;" >folder.</a>
