Hello,
I've been trying to design the new website locally for 2 days. I use the template "Natalie_J4". I have already been able to implement many things independently. Unfortunately, inserting FontAwesome icons like "fa-home" or "fa fa-home" via the CSS class for links doesn't work. Surprisingly, however, “fa fa-joomla” works!
The "Load-Awesome" option in the template is set to "yes". In the forum I found various solutions for the same problem and tried to adapt them to myself. Unfortunately none of the solutions worked.
Does anyone have an idea what else I could do?
Thank you for the answers.

Hello
It seems that the icons are not been added to the markup, as you appear to have the classes added correctly this may be a template-related issue. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Maybe the template needs an update if these options are missing but to be on the safe side: In your screenshot you entered 'fas fa-home' under 'Icon-Klasse zum Link' but it belongs under 'CSS-Klasse für Link'. Have you tried that too?
Kindly,
Chris

Thank you for your help!
To Ko3n:
In the template (Natalie J4) I am missing the following options or buttons that you sent in the second image:
- Load Awesome 5
- Load Regular Icons
- Load solid icons
- Load brand icons.
To orient myself a little, I also installed the demo version of Tempalte Natalie J4 locally on XAMPP. These buttons are missing here too. Even when I open the front end of this demo version, a number of icons are missing under the menu item "Features" --> "Font Awesome", as can be seen in the attached image.
I just see in the second line that "Font Awesome - https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/" is mentioned. Could this be the reason? Is this possibly version "v4.7.0"?
To Frac W:
Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately I attached the wrong image. Out of desperation, I tried different variants, such as "fa-home", "fa fa-home", "fas-home", "fas fa-home", but this change didn't bring any improvement either.
Thanks again,
I. Popp

That's strange. It works like this for me. Did you load Font Awesome 5?
System --> Site Template Stile --> "Your Stile" --> Typography Styling --> Load Font Awesome 5 --> Yes
Kindly,
Chris

Hello
For your menu item, I dont see any Font Awesome classes added. Have you set the within the menu item options (Link Type -> Link Icon Class)?

It appears you may be using the Link Type -> Link Class to add your icon classes. Note that Joomla 4 menu items now have aLink Type > Link Icon Class for setting your icon classes. Does moving the classes to this field resolve the issue?

Hallo!
The current website, (http://www.wienerbergschule.at) which works perfectly, is still running on Joomla! 3. The FontAwesome icons, such as those used in the menu item “Wienerbergschule” (home page of the website), are displayed correctly.
Because this old version is overloaded, I would like to redesign the website from scratch in Joomla!4. The J4 variant (Subdomain) is still under construction (24.goedelgasse.at).
In the new version Joomla! 4, however, these icons are no longer displayed, neither in the menu nor in the content.
