ENLIGHTEN - Dropdown menu conflict slide animation

Hi,
I have a 3rd party slideshow at showcase position. The slideshow has some animations. When in transition from one slide to another, if a hornav menu item is dropped down over the slide, this goes hidden until the transition ends.
Any advice will be appreciated. (If you consider this is a slideshow's issue, please let me know and I will contact that extension's provider).
