Empty space on home page

Hi
I am working on my site and I have big white line on my home page. As I understand line is space for featured atricle or any other component which is related to Home menu item. I don't want to display any article on front page, only some text and photos with some modules. How to get rid of this empty space? Can you please help me with this?
